Creamy, rich chocolate ice cream with that signature Coca-Cola holler twist!
Fresh from the holler — new cookin' and coolin' down!
This Coca-Cola Chocolate Ice Cream is pure summer happiness in the holler. The cola gives it a fun, slightly caramelized flavor that pairs perfectly with rich chocolate. It’s creamy, chocolatey, and has that signature Coca-Cola bubba twist.
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup regular Coca-Cola (chilled)
1 tsp vanilla extract (Mexican vanilla preferred)
Pinch of salt
Optional: ½ cup mini chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and sugar until well combined.
2. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream, milk, and chilled Coca-Cola until smooth and the sugar is dissolved.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and pinch of salt.
4. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–25 minutes).
5. In the last 5 minutes of churning, add chocolate chips if using.
6. Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) until firm.
Always use regular Coca-Cola — diet versions won’t give you that rich caramel flavor.
Chill all your ingredients before churning for the creamiest results.
Mexican vanilla really shines in this recipe.
Let the ice cream sit out for 5–10 minutes before scooping so it’s nice and soft.
